Bernd Michel

Director of MicroMaterials Center, Berlin and Chemnitz

Fraunhofer Institut IZM Berlin, Germany

Prof. Michel is Chair of several international conference series on material reliability in microsystem technology and has published more than 300 papers on MEMS and micro/nanosystem reliability. He has also initiated numerous technology and R&E service-oriented enterprises in Berlin, Chemnitz and Munich. He is Editor of the international journal Microsystem Technologies (Springer) and the series Micromaterials and Nanomaterials. Prof. Michel received the ASME Packaging Award in 2000 and the Fraunhofer Award in 2005.
