Unformatted Serial ADC and Data Link

A method for de-serialization of streaming raw data from an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). Proposed is a chipset that would allow a high-speed, resolution-agnostic ADC to operate remotely at the end of an optical fiber without any of the usual overhead at the source normally associated with digital fiber-optic links.

Value Proposition: This technique offers lower sensor-node overhead, enabling leaner front-ends and larger imaging arrays with minimal potential for self-interference. Also lends itself naturally to resolution-agnostic digitizing sensor systems which can adjust bit-resolution dynamically in response to changing conditions.
