Compact, High Temperature Nanolayer Film Capacitors

Multilayered films of polyvinylidene fluoride and polycarbonate were fabricated to show a 2 fold improvement in energy density, 50% reduction in existing capacitor size, and up to 160 Â°C performance with improved breakdown strength. Capacitor fabrication and testing validated the results. Scale-up production of films was also demonstrated.
