NJIT's carbon nanotube enhanced membrane process can be operated as a â€œlow-costâ€ â€œlow-energyâ€ technology especially using low grade heat sources, such as waste heat or solar energy. It can handle higher salt concentrations than reverse osmosis and requires less pre-treatment.
