Water Purification Technology for Rapid Removal of a Broad Spectrum of Toxic Chemicals
Chemica Technologies, Inc, OR, United States
Our technology is comprised of specially designed ligands tethered to a felt-like material. The base material adsorbs common contaminants while the ligands efficiently "snatch up" organic and inorganic toxins; including arsenic, mercury, lead and a broad spectrum of organic chemicals. The adsorbent is flexible, scalable and regenerable with low back-pressure.
Primary Application Area: Environmental, Water & Waste
Technology Development Status: Prototype
Technology Readiness Level: TRL 5
FIGURES OF MERIT
Value Proposition: Chemica's proprietary adsorbent technology quickly and thoroughly removes a broad range of organic compounds, including many TICs, as well as inorganic toxic metals/metalloids, with a simple and lightweight system. Unlike competing technologies, Chemica's system is highly robust, has very little energy or pressure requirements, and reduces overall treatment cost.
