An easy to use, accurate, and low cost system for on-site drug testing and identification. An unknown or suspected drug sample is tested in a portable spectrometer, compatible with smart phones. The generated emission spectrum is compared to a library database for rapid sample identification.

Value Proposition: UCF’s technology is a reliable, low cost, easy to use drug identification kit. Drug unknowns can easily and accurately be identified based on a unique emission spectrum. It can be integrated with a smartphone, allowing portability of the device for use in the field.
