Michael Brodeur is Strategic Associate Director at United Technologies Research Center (UTRC). He is responsible for developing marketing strategies to secure government research funding for Pratt and Whitney turbine engine products. He extensively engages with NASA, Department of Defense and Department of Energy on innovative aerospace technologies. In order to develop these research opportunities, he works with strategic partners to pre-market concepts and develop winning proposals encompassing the best team.
Prior to joining UTRC, he was Director of Business Development at ITT Power Solutions where he tripled the external business over five years. He was responsible for developing marketing strategies for custom power supplies for commercial and defense market segments. Prior to ITT, he was a Project Manager at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) Power Plant and Controls managing a US/Sweden joint venture for power generation environmental monitoring products. Prior to ABB he started his aerospace career at United Technologies Hamilton Standard as a project engineer focusing on developing military turbine engine fuel controls, where he also obtained his MBA Degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Hartford.
