Summary:
Cancer kills over 8 million people around the world every year, and over 1 billion people are living with some form of arthritis. Countless animals also suffer from these diseases. New therapies are clearly needed to treat these maladies in people and companion animals. We have developed powerful and innovative first in class technologies to address this problem. We examined the expression of every single gene to find the most promising targets we can use to prevent and treat cancer. Our immediate efforts utilize our lead compound (called “MASL”) to target a unique receptor (called “PDPN”) on cancer cells. We can use MASL to prevent and treat many forms of cancer. PDPN also promotes inflammatory destruction by rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. MASL can be used to combat this disease in addition to cancer.
