Summary:-Background: Conventional second battery package includes a hexahedron housing made of metal, and secondary battery cells fixed within the housing while the battery cells are closely placed with each other. In this structure, secondary battery cells may expand during charging and discharging and explode. Also, the housing made of metal adds a lot of weight to the secondary battery package. -The present invention 1) The present invention is able to protect the plurality of secondary battery cells in a harsh environment where vibration, impact, temperature change and the like are severe. 2) According to the structure of the secondary battery package of the present invention, separate housing part is not needed and this reduces the size and the weight of the secondary battery package without sacrificing stiffness and heat dissipation characteristic of the package. 3) By providing proper space between secondary battery cells, heat dissipation is enhanced and even if cells expand, the battery does not explode. Secondary battery package comprises: secondary battery cells arranged in matrix to be spaced apart from each other, and have an anode at one of upper and lower end, and a cathode at the other; upper tags electrically connected to the electrode at upper end of secondary battery cells; lower tags electrically connected to the electrode at lower end of secondary battery cells; upper holder board made of insulating plastic and having an upper end seating groove with upper end of secondary battery cells seated thereon, and an upper end tag mounting part with upper tag inserted thereinto; lower holder board made of insulating plastic and having a lower end seating groove with lower end of secondary battery cells seated thereon, and a lower tag mounting part with lower tag inserted thereinto; upper end fixing layer made of insulating plastic and fixing upper end of secondary battery cells not to vibrate below upper end seating groove; lower end fixing layer made of insulating plastic and fixing lower end of the secondary battery cells not to vibrate above the lower end seating groove; cover overlapped on upper holder board; base which is overlapped under lower holder board; and fastener which fastens cover and base.
