Summary:
Molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) thin films have been studied. MoO3 were deposited by thermal evaporation technique on a glass substrate at room temperature. The morphology, electrical and optical properties of the film was studied by atomic force microscopy (AFM), electrochemistry and UV-vis spectroscopy. The effect of lithium ions injection by electrolyte onto the film was also studied and the properties of coloring was established. We found that the applied voltage has an effect on coloring sample. The results show that the MoO3 thin film can be undergoes in an irreversible process of coloring for applied voltage more than 1volt. In this work, we also studied the photopic efficiency and a relation between coloration efficiency and applied voltage was established.
