After 27 years working in R&D for Dow Chemical, Steve will be transitioning this year to DuPont, along with the rest of the Dow Water & Process Solutions organization. With a focus on liquid separations, his role will continue to involve identifying research opportunities and acting as a technical advisor to different platforms. Steve is also a U.S. Patent Agent and a focal point for IP issues related to membranes and new separations technologies. His individual research activities have most commonly focused on reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, and ultrafiltration membrane formation and applications, as well as aspects of element fabrication and testing methods. He was the principal chemist responsible for several Dow commercial product launches. For the last 20 years, Steve has been located at the FilmTec site in Minnesota, which remains the headquarters for the DuPont Water Solutions.
