Thomas Twardowski, Ph.D. has been working in composite materials since1986, in both the industrial and academic sector. Dr. Twardowski is president of his own consulting business. He has extensive experience with composite materials for improved coating durability, wear and scratch resistance. He pioneered the study of multi-scale reinforcement in nano-composites. His work on materials for personal and infrastructure protection has led to multiple patents. He has designed industrial short courses, as well as materials classes for Drexel, Philadelphia and Widener Universities. He has co-authored well-received papers that have appeared in the Journal of Thermal Spray Technology, Journal of Applied Polymer Science. Sponsors for his research have included the US Navy, National Science Foundation and the Pennsylvania Keystone Innovation program. His background includes has diverse research experience in composites, adhesives, and biomaterials. He is currently a teaching professor at Jefferson University.
