Dr. Martin E. Leser is an expert in colloids & interface science working for Nestlé Research since 1995. He received his PhD degree in colloid chemistry from the ETH in Zuerich, Switzerland (focus on microemulsion systems), and joint afterwards the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA for a 2 year postdoctoral assignment (focus on scattering techniques to characterize self-assembly systems). Before joining the Nestlé Research Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland, he was working for 5 years at the Unilever Research Laboratorium in Vlaardingen, The Netherlands. He published sofar about 100 articles and chapters in scientific journals and books and is co-editor of the Food Colloids section of the Current Opinion in Colloid & Interface Science journal.
