Edward Fratto is a doctoral student in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, having received his Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from the same institution. Under advisor Dr. Zhiyong Gu, his research concerns the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterial structures. His contribution to the Phase II investigation of Green Nanosolder Paste for Next Generation Electronics Assembly and Manufacturing involved the aqueous synthesis of lead-free tin alloy nanoparticles and their subsequent reflow for solder characterization.
