This brief intended to update industry partners on status of US Navy R&D activities in developing the Integrated Power & Energy System (IPES) for future naval ship applications. IPES is a "smart-grid like" technology application as an advancement over the typical warship micro-grid topology. Brief will cover modelling and simulation, hardware development, advanced controls development and system integration efforts underway, and planned for the next 4-years.
