As the SBIR/STTR Focal for Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T), Dr. Myers helps the team to leverage small businesses to further BR&T’s technology and development needs by identifying leading-edge technologies and new concepts to strategically fill technology gaps. 

Dr. Myers’ 20-year professional experience spans from software engineering to strategic marketing and business development.  She began her career as a Data Systems Engineer supporting NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center, Mission Operations.  Her technical career continued as a Software Engineer/Project Lead supporting an air defense test-bed platform for a Missile Defense Agency small business contractor.  Transitioning into business development, Dr. Myers supported several small businesses in developing and executing growth strategies as Director of Marketing and CMO.  As an independent consultant for the Small Business Administration, Dr. Myers provided government contracting training and technical support to a multitude of micro-small businesses.

Dr. Myers obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Alabama A&M University, Master’s degree in Management from University of Alabama-Huntsville, and Doctorate degree in Business Administration from Capella University.  With a concentration in Strategy and Innovation, her dissertation researched “Success Factors Contributing to the Commercialization of Small Business Technology Innovation.”
