Steve has over 30 years of experience in the plastics field. He has held a variety of technical positions at Raytheon, Dow/United Technologies, ARCO Chemical, and JSP. He is currently the Technical Director at JSP. He is an instructor for TMS (The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society) teaching Plastics and Statistics. He also sits on the ASTM Committee D20 on Plastics. Steve holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Steve is the author of over 30 papers in the area of Polyolefin Foamed Plastics, and holds 2 patents in the area of polyolefin foam energy management. He is the Author of the “Expanded Polyethylene Bead Foam Technology” chapter in the latest Handbook of Industrial Polyethylene and Technology (Wiley, 2017). Steve is a Licensed Stationary Engineer (PA), and is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. He is a member of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), SPE (Society of Plastics Engineers), SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), ASQ (American Society for Quality), ASTM (American Society of Testing and Materials) and has been inducted into the PPA (Plastics Pioneers Association).
