Dr Harjit Singh, Senior Lecturer, is a key member of the Institute of Energy Futures (IEF) at Brunel University London (UK). His research focusses onto solar energy technologies, vacuum insulation panels and building retrofit for improved energy efficiency with over 50 peer reviewed publications in the area. He has secured research funding of >£19 Million (as PI or CoI) from several UK and international funders such as Newton Fund (UK-Egypt); EPSRC (UK-India-Africa), Horizon2020 (EU); Innovate UK (UK-Kenya-Uganda-Tanzania), Technology Strategy Board, DST- UKIERI (UK-India) and several industrial funders (USA, Germany, UK). He has contributed to two patents into high performing insulation materials and systems, is a permanent member of the scientific committee of the International Vacuum Insulation Symposium (IVIS) and SOLARIS conference. He will be chairing the IVIS2021 in London during September 2021. Currently, he is supervising six PDRAs and five PhD studies covering various aspects of solar energy technologies and efficiency of energy use in buildings.
