Kenneth H. Church, PhD began work on printed electronics in 1999 on a DARPA program. He began printing bio materials in 2001 on another DARPA program. His team developed the first commercial bioprinter and went on the market in 2002. He is a pioneer in 3D-printed electronics and printed circuit structures.
