Addition of 2,4-pentanedione to metal catalyzed 2-component polyurethane coating systems is a proven method to increase pot life. The level of pot life extension varies depending on the metal catalyst. A unique aluminum-based catalyst was designed to provide optimized pot life and cure properties when used with 2,4-pentanedione.
