TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY
Desktop Metal’s “Fiber” product is a commercially available 3D printer of chopped and continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite materials. Our proposed solution is to leverage material advancements that provide more isotropic material properties, as well as software advancements that enable design optimization of 3D printed composite parts.
