Summary:
The ReCell Center, a Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Office funded center led by Argonne National Laboratory, is working to develop and demonstrate battery recycling technologies that improve the economics of responsible end-of-life lithium-ion battery management. Efforts include development of direct cathode recycling, recovery of non-cathode materials, design for sustainability, and modeling and analysis. This presentation will provide a brief summary of ReCell’s work to create a profitable battery recycling system.
