Liang Gong is a Materials Research Specialist in the Corporate Research Analytical Lab (CRAL) of 3M. Liang received her B.S. degree in Polymer Science and Engineering from Donghua University in Shanghai, China, in 2010, and her Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Delaware in 2016. Upon joining 3M, Liang’s focus has been the development and advancement of tip-based nanoscale vibrational spectroscopy including photothermal induced resonance (PTIR) or AFM-IR, and its applications in industrial materials characterization. Liang’s current research interests include nanoscale characterization of macromolecular behaviors under extreme conditions, bio-based polymers, energy storage and conversion via polymeric media and etc..
