Elissa is the CEO of Metafold 3D, a Toronto-based startup focused on unlocking lattices, microstructures and metamaterials on industrially relevant scales. Elissa's PhD in discrete geometry (2011) defined a mathematical framework for the structural rigidity of zeolite materials. Elissa has worked with MESH Consultants as an industrial geometry consultant on interdisciplinary projects in 3D printing, architecture, engineering and manufacturing since 2014.
