Babak Eslami is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at Widener University in Chester, PA. Dr. Eslami received his PhD from The George Washington University in 2016. His PhD studies focused on developing and enhancing multifrequency AFM techniques. One of the key finding of his studies is known as trimodal AFM in the field which enabled subsurface imaging of soft matters. His current research activities focus on improving material properties of polymer filaments used in fused deposition modeling (FDM) additive manufacturing. He has received three consecutive rounds of PA Manufacturing Innovation Funding since 2019 that has facilitated his research activities with the aim of helping manufacturing capabilities.
