A Mechanical Device for Breast Cancer Diagnosis

TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY

MechDiag device detects breast cancers by analyzing a group of cells from a patient's tissue/blood sample. This is done by the application of stress to determine the cells' resistance (stiffness) to stress. This stiffness property is different in normal cells and can be used to diagnose patients with breast cancer.
