Broad-Spectrum Antiviral Therapeutics Targeting S1P-Metabolizing Enzymes

TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY

Sphingosine-1 Phosphate (S1P) is an enzyme in humans that has been shown to be upregulated by viruses to help them replicate and spread infection. Our work shows that inhibitors of S1P can protect from infection with Influenza A and other clinically relevant viral infections.
