A chemiresistors made from plant extracts (such as flowers) can be renewable, low-cost and environmentally friendly. The chemiresistors are also able to discriminate between different food (such as flavors of smoothies), their spoilage/fermentation progression and for disease diagnostics (such as gastric cancer). The sensor is reusable.
