Summary:
As a leading global supplier of plastic additives, BASF has been actively developing sustainable solutions to promote circular economy of polymeric materials across the entire plastics value chain, from raw material selection and energy consumption to its end use application and plastic upcycling. In this presentation, we will demonstrate how we utilize bio-mass balance and carbon footprint analysis as guidance to achieve our net-zero goal in 2050; we will introduce our current technical solutions for helping the mechanical recycling of plastics with value-retaining benefits. In addition, we will share examples of our recent innovations on improving future plastics recyclability.
