Dr. Yun Jin specialises in the area of synthesis and application of surface-modified nanocellulose. He joined Imerys Minerals Ltd as a Research Scientist in 2016. He is now R&D leader FiberLean Technologies Ltd, overseeing the technical development of three major projects in the company. His work focuses on developing applications of FiberLean products in various industries, including its use as binder in construction materials to enhance the physical (e.g. density, water resistance, fire resistance), mechanical (e.g. strength, creep) and thermal properties. He is one of the original inventors on the patent disclosing the use of microfibrillated cellulose in building products.
