Dr. Kevin McComber is the Co-Founder and CEO of Spark Photonics Design, an integrated photonics design and consulting firm based near Boston. Spark Photonics Design serves industry, academia, and government customers to design and lay out integrated photonic devices and circuits in silicon, silicon nitride, and indium phosphide platforms. Dr. McComber is also the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Spark Photonics Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing education and outreach programming to engage the next generation of STEM and advanced manufacturing talent. He received his PhD from MIT in materials science and engineering.
