Summary:

Modern construction remains one of the most dangerous and inefficient professions. The use of robots will fundamentally change how structures are built and maintained. Utilizing large, precise robotic arm platforms to not only 3D print walls, but incorporate trades such as electrical, plumbing and roofing will reduce injuries and fatalities while simultaneously reducing cost and time to construct. Many companies are using robots to print residential homes to great fanfare, however, application of the technology to industrial applications will allow for quicker adoption and acceptance in an industry hesitant to change. A discussion of ACI 509, UFC and the IBC display a path to safe acceptance and use of robotics in construction.
