Summary:

Saunas have been a continuous source of health and well being for generations. Current saunas are powered by electricity from the grid, combined with electric sauna furnaces for generating heat at about 90°C. The existing sauna technology has two fundamental shortcomings: lack of energy autonomy and carbon dioxide emissions. Many people would like to install saunas at remote places without connection to the grid. Other people would like to enjoy sauna with zero CO2-footprint. The newly founded German company THESS UG has pioneered autonomous and green solar-powered zero-energy-sauna technology and is on the threshold of its industrialization. The poster will present both the innovative technology and the business model for commercialization.
