Dr. Patange is a Biologist with the NIST Material Measurement Laboratory, Biosystems and Biomaterials Division. She coordinates projects on cell-based specificity measurements for the NIST Genome Editing Program and NIST Genome Editing Consortium. Her research focuses on quantitative single-cell metrics to characterize the on- and off- target activity of CRISPR/Cas genome editing systems.
Dr. Patange received her Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Maryland in 2020 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the NIST Biomarker and Genomic Sciences Group. Her doctoral research was a collaboration between the UMD Department of Physics and the National Institutes of Health through the UMD-NCI Partnership for Integrative Cancer Research.
