Dr John Lovell is a 35-yr veteran of the global oilfield service industry where he has created, developed and incubated technology for wireline, logging-while-drilling, coiled-tubing stimulation, fiber-optic monitoring, distributed subsea arrays and, now most recently, surface sensor hardware integrated with AI technology for production and chemical monitoring at the wellhead. He has been granted almost 40 patents, was an SPWLA Distinguished Speaker, and has served on multiple SPE conference committees including the SPE Fiber Optic ATW since 2012. His contributions have been recognized with innovation nominations and awards from ADIPEC (twice), World Oil (four times), iChemE and S&P Global Energy.
