As the Vice President of Marquis R&D Energy LLC and Director of Innovation, Dr. Jennifer Aurandt-Pilgrim leads Marquis Carbon Management initiatives.  Marquis will sequester 1.2 million metric tons of biogenic CO2 in 2024, along with a sustainable farmer program since 2011, Marquis will create carbon-neutral and carbon-negative ethanol.  With an eye to the future, Marquis will produce CO2-derived ethanol in 2025 with the support of a DOE grant and LanzaTech technology.  Decarbonization of ethanol will provide a feedstock to decarbonize numerous industries, including SAF, in which Marquis participates in growing ethanol-derived SAF markets and evaluating SAF technology. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bowling Green State University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan. She has been an innovator and leader in the Bioenergy field since 2005.
