Hanni Lux (Member, IEEE) received the Diploma degree in physics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, in 2007, and the PhD in theoretical astrophysics from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in 2010. She currently leads the Cost Modeling Team, Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP) Program at the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA). She joined UKAEA in 2013 and has held various roles covering fusion power plant integration and cost aspects. Before joining UKAEA, she held a post-doctoral position in theoretical astrophysics with the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. Dr. Lux has been awarded Charter Physicist status by the Institute of Physics, of which she is a member.
