Brian Greer is a partner at Empire Consulting Group, a minority-owned and operated public policy consulting firm specializing in government relations and corporate/regulatory law and public affairs. In this role he provides government relations consulting services to some of the most recognizable Fortune 100 companies, including American Airlines, Bank of America, Boeing, Coca Cola, FedEx, and Walmart.

Prior to joining Empire Consulting Group, he led the defense vertical for another firm and successfully brought on defense clients in the technology and innovation space and facilitated strategic engagements with Capitol Hill and program managers at DOD. He successfully guided these companies to leverage both the National Defense Authorization (NDAA) and the appropriations process to help DOD realize the contracting potential for these clients.

A veteran of both sides of Capitol Hill, Brian worked for three years as a top aide for now Senate Majority Leader Schumer, serving as a Senior Policy Advisor for defense, energy and foreign affairs issues. He later went on to work as a Professional Staff Member for the House Armed Services Committee (HASC), advising then Committee Chairman Adam Smith (D-WA) on the following issues: DOD Acquisition Reform, manufacturing and industrial base policy and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) oversight. He also worked with Readiness Subcommittee Chairman John Garamendi (D-CA) on Army readiness, organic industrial base policy, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) policy, preposition stocks oversight and civilian personnel issues.

Brian holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Brian and his wife Natalie, an Arkansas native, live in Washington, DC. with their son and daughter.
