Dr. Heath J. Mills, with academic degrees from Duke University and Georgia Institute of Technology, is the Chief Scientific Officer at Rhodium Scientific. He has over 20 years of experience, including faculty positions at Texas A&M University and University of Houston, specializing in biogeochemistry and molecular ecology of extreme environments. Dr. Mills has contributed to nearly 40 publications with over 2000 citations, enhancing our understanding of microbial communities in diverse locations on and off Earth. In the past seven years, he has led and collaborated on over 20 space-based projects on the International Space Station, funded by various prestigious agencies including the Department of Defense and National Science Foundation. Recently, he joined the ISS National Laboratory User Advisory Committee, serving as Chair of the Technology Development Subcommittee, where he continues to advance commercial biotechnology in both terrestrial and spaceflight research.
