Scott entered military service in the United States Air Force (USAF) in 1994. His operational assignments included the United States Air Force Academy, Keesler Air Force Base and Ellsworth Air Force Base. Following his time in the USAF, Scott transitioned to a member of industry in 2000 working as an engineer for Dynetics, Incorporated in Fort Walton Beach, FL and then Huntsville, AL. Scott started off at Dynetics supporting the USAF Research Lab working on multi-spectral phenomenology research and development projects and then joined the program known as the Mother-Of-All-Bombs (MOAB).
After working in industry for eight years Scott joined the United States Army Civilian Corps at Redstone Arsenal, AL in 2008 as member of the Aeromechanics Division of the Aviation Engineering Directorate in the Aviation and Missile Research and Development Center (AMRDEC) working on flight performance models of both fixed wing and rotary wing army aviation aircraft. Scott then moved to the Software Development Division of the Software Engineering Directorate in the AMRDEC in 2010 as a software developer and scrum master for the Army Mission Planning System and then the Tactical Aviation Integration System. In 2016, Scott was selected to serve as the engine controls and software lead engineer for the Improved Turbine Engine Program (ITEP). Scott led ITEP through Systems/Software Requirements Reviews and Preliminary Design Reviews which enabled a successful Milestone B decision and Engineering, Manufacturing and Development Contract Award. Scott also led ITEP through successful Critical Design Reviews (CDRs).
Following the ITEP CDRs, Scott was hand-selected by the PEO-Aviation and Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) Director to serve as the SRD Software Trail Boss for the UH-60V program, where Scott was a key leader in UH-60V achievement of Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) certification. In 2021, Scott was selected to serve as the Product Manager (PdM) CH-47F Chief Engineer and then subsequently selected for his current position as Program Manager (PM) Cargo Technical Management Division Chief.
Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with High Honors from the University of Florida (UF) in 1998 and his Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from UF in 2004. Scott married his beautiful wife Dawn in 1999 and they are the proud parents of Gabriella (22) and Benjamin (18).
