Lilli Mu is a contractor/advisor at BARDA Ventures within DRIVe (Division of Research, Innovation and Ventures) under BARDA (Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority).
Lilli started her career as a research scientist working at University of Pennsylvania, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, and Pfizer in various therapeutic areas from discovery to FIH. After obtaining an MBA, she joined a venture capital firm and was responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, negotiation, and closing of deals. She managed a life science portfolio of over $40M in invested capital and served on the Board for several companies. She also managed and advised a portfolio of seed and pre-seed companies. She then worked for a venture lending firm and invested and managed a portfolio of both late stage private and publicly traded life science and technology companies.
Lilli also has experience in international public health, having spent six months in Zambia as Pfizer’s Global Health Fellow. Under the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) initiative, she worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC-Zambia) and the Zambia Ministry of Health providing consultation for development and standardization of clinical laboratory procedures and strengthening quality management systems.
Lilli received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Arcadia University and a Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Drexel University. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of New Haven.
