Summary:

I am proposing a presentation / panel discussion to summarize the work that has been conducted by the LDES National Consortium, a DOE-funded, national lab-facilitated, and industry-driven initiative that has been established to address commercialization challenges facing the full scope of existing and emerging LDES technology with actionable industry recommendations. This panel will focus on existing policy & regulatory challenges and recommendations at both the federal (wholesale) and state (retail) levels. A presentation addressing key policy issues will be followed by an interactive panel discussion involving federal and state policymakers, LDES technology providers actively seeking to participate in established markets, and private investors (panelists to be determined). A representative presentation is provided in this Abstract Submission to illustrate the nature of content that will be delivered. The presentation provided relates to policy issues within the PJM market, however the proposed presentation / panel discussion will include discussions of all seven of the existing RTOs/ISOs.
