Summary:

I am proposing a presentation / panel discussion to summarize the representative work in the development of sustainable batteries beyond lithium for energy storage applications. The technology and adoption challenges including scaling up, supply chain, rapid validation, deployment, and commercialization also will be communicated at the panel. This panel will focus on emerging technologies including but not limited to molten sodium, sodium-ion, and aqueous Zn batteries. Presentations addressing key progresses in these beyond lithium technologies will be followed by an interactive panel discussion involving technology developers, supply chain experts, policymakers, and economists (panelists to be determined).
