Summary:

3D printing (or additive manufacturing) provides significant benefits in a variety of contexts. Our technology uses artificial intelligence techniques to automate the process of converting 2D schematics and physical objects to 3D CAD models that can be used in 3D printing (as well as virtual and augmented reality systems). The system will be housed in a portable unit as small as 3'x3' that will be fully self-contained - the Artificial Intelligence tool and related software, the computing power, a 3D printer, visual sensors to assess physical objects, power source, and printing materials. The technology will eliminate the need for specialized engineering talent to perform these tasks, thereby making 3D printing easier to use, faster, less expensive, and available for more parts and in more challenging environments, all while reducing the expertise required to use this technology.
