Xiaolin Li is a Chief Scientist in Battery Materials & Systems group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He has a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and has nearly 20 years of experience in the materials science and battery field. He has ~12 years’ experience on Li-ion battery, particularly the development of porous Si based anode materials. He currently leads the development of sodium ion and aqueous zinc batteries at PNNL. Xiaolin is highly cited researcher with google citation of >45000. His research interest spans from understanding the mechanisms of battery material fading in bulk structures and at interphases across time scales to leveraging the findings in model material systems to develop high-performance, low-cost battery materials/chemistries for scale-up production, large cell fabrication and reliability evaluation.
