Dr. H.-J. Sue joined Texas A&M University in 1995 and holds the M.H. Kotzebu‘14 Professorship at Materials Science and Engineering Department. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan in 1988 and was employed by Dow Chemical between 1988-1995.  He has published over 300 journal articles and book chapters, and has trained over 100 Ph.D. students and postdocs.  His research focuses include (1) nanomaterial synthesis, dispersion, and assembly for nanotechnology applications, (2) mechanical properties of polymers, and (3) scratch behavior of polymers.  He is a fellow of the Society of Plastics Engineers. He has also received many international awards and honors.
