Alexa started her career thinking that she wanted to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. This quickly changed after she created a SAAS based platform for direct primary cares in the state of Texas and Oklahoma. This became proprietary software, which captured the attention of a now-national ER. This segued into Alexa finding her passion fell between logical and creative means, thus propelling her into Rice University for her MBA, where she focused her efforts on entrepreneurship and corporate investments. During her time there, she felt she wanted to gain more experience in the finance realm. She quickly found herself working for United Airlines in their FP&A role. After a short stint, she became the head of FP&A, taking responsibility of their $100M ledger in the Houston Hub as well as leading their global relationships with ANA, Air France and Air Singapore. Though she learned a lot, her passions were in line with strategy backed by market research. She set her sights on 3 particular spaces: Pets & Vets, UCCI and Transportation/Logistics. Many thought there was no correlation, however, these three areas Alexa had high conviction in. From macroeconomic factors to how the assets traded, Alexa raised her first bout of capital to confirm these hypotheses. Within 18 months, Alexa had gone from a singular asset to 8 assets and eight digits in AUM, all while seeing 50%+ growth in each one of her assets. With this, she was recognized for her endeavors, where she was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame alongside mentors: Mark Cuban, John Paul DeJoria, Randall Stephenson, Jim Crane, Jeff Hildebrand, Janet Gurwitch, etc. One thing led to another, and she was brought into mass tort cases via litigation finance. Within 12 months, Alexa had raised a large sum of capital for a pipe explosion case in Texas. This gained her to opportunity to work with other family offices spanning for Abu Dhabi to London on other litigation finance projects. Soon enough, she began capital formation in other verticals such as venture capital and private equity. This led to a span of capital formation deals for hospitality blends on either coast. She has done projects with global institutions for Ritz Carltons, Four Seasons, Marriott’s and Kimptons. Alongside raising for her own roll-up projects, she began advising for a group of UHNWI’s out of Houston, who are all former CEO’s of Oceaneering, Vinson & Elkins, Lazard, Warburg Pincus, United, McKinsey, Alliant, Methodist, etc. In her free time, she works alongside one of the largest commodities brokers to lift gold, silver, platinum, crude and jet fuel. When Alexa is not working (rarely), she enjoys skiing and riding horses competitively.
