Eva Rose Balog

Dr. Balog is an Associate Professor of Chemistry in the School of Molecular and Physical Sciences at the University of New England in Biddeford and Portland, Maine, USA. She is part of UNE’s Center for Cell Signaling Research and the Portland Laboratory for Biotechnology and Health Sciences. Dr. Balog’s research uses biochemical and biophysical techniques to create and characterize novel proteins for applications in biotechnology and biomaterials. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and her B.S. in Biology from the California Institute of Technology. She also trained as a postdoctoral fellow at Los Alamos National Lab’s Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies.
