As the current Deputy Department Director for Special Warfare and Expeditionary Systems, he leads four divisions: Power and Energy Systems, Weapons Systems Fleet Engineering, Weapons Systems Development, and Experimentation and Assessment.

Mr. Kluesner has held several key leadership positions, including Deputy Department Director for the Global Deterrence and Defense Department, where he oversaw business planning for strategic missions. As a Division Manager, he was instrumental in the growth of Strategic Systems and Hypersonics programs, leading efforts such as the Hypersonic Flight Test Missile Movement and developing a Multi-Service Hypersonics Test Bed. His earlier career included roles as a Design Engineering Branch Manager and a rotational assignments at numerous program offices. Mr. Kluesner earned a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Evansville.
