XR for Semiconductor Workforce Development and Training: Innovations in Curriculum and Outreach Strategies

Printed and Flexible Electronics

Submit Poster Abstract - due April 1 »

Onshoring of the semiconductor supply chain, stimulated by passage of the 2023 CHIPS and Science Act, has created an urgent need for additional workers throughout the value chain and across the U.S. Many organizations, consortia, hubs and networks are developing local and regional approaches to recruit and train workers for these career opportunities. In order to provide sustainable, scalable and accessible programs for a diverse workforce, many groups are actively developing training platforms that span from digital to hands-on approaches, with content directed toward a range of jobs in both STEM and non-STEM fields. This symposium will feature Key Speakers leading development efforts focusing on three critical areas:

  1. Augmented Reality Learning Platforms
  2. XR Content and Programs
  3. Integrated pathways and strategies for Outreach, Recruitment and Retention utilizing XR Approaches
